Field trip with Coastal Plains Institute

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
TSS is offering a unique opportunity to learn about our ephemeral wetlands of the Apalachicola National Forest. Coastal Plains Institute president, Ryan Means, will lead the field trip to see multiple ephemeral wetlands, trap checking, animal processing and handling. You’ll have a chance to experience and discuss their ongoing salamander conservation effort and the relationships between multiple species in this ecosystem. The field trip will consist of a half-day of light, easy hiking so you will need shoes that don’t mind getting wet and muddy, water, and sunscreen. We will meet Ryan Means at 9:00 am near the intersection of Hwy 319 and Capital Circle. A map will be sent to you after registration (see below.) Participation is limited to fifteen people and priority is given to current TSS members. Please sign up here in this survey and reserve your spot! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvz-G6V9pMy_Eu8W9uqZS_fYTlEIKR09T0lNpOdrcYnsPQKA/viewform?usp=pp_url
