Burgess is literally Florida’s No. 1 “shark man.” A fisheries biologist with the Florida Museum of Natural History, University of Florida, Burgess is the director of the International Shark Attack File and author/coauthor of numerous books and papers on sharks and other fish. The Shark Attack File is the largest database in the world on shark attacks from around the globe.
