We are asking for help. Over the years, your elected board has done most of the heavy lifting to promote the mission of our Society and to accomplish the tasks that go into our events, activities, and tasks.
Your membership indicates you support the mission of the Society: To bring about the dissemination of knowledge regarding, and public awareness of, science and technology, in Tallahassee and its environs.
We encourage you to volunteer to serve on a committee, which may mean simply bringing ideas to the table.
We need hands-on volunteers who can spare a few hours in a year to work publicity tables, help with receptionist duties at sponsored events, complete a simple task in support of an event, or proof-read a publication. You may choose to become more involved and volunteer to chair a committee, take on a major role in planning and carrying out a project, or serve on the board. The success of our Society and our ability to carry out our mission will be enhanced by your involvement — large or small, as your time permits.
