Jenny Staletovich
In the 1980s, Florida Gov. Bob Graham announced he would wind back the clock, restore the Everglades and make the vast river of grass function like it once did. But forty years later, the clock is still ticking as Florida continues struggling to complete what was launched in 2000 as the largest wetlands restoration project in the nation’s history. In the search for answers, Staletovich has traveled deep into the Everglades. She journeyed down the Shark River to climb among towering mangroves and into sawgrass marshes. Staletovich also dove into the legal battle to get at what might really be ailing the Everglades: science vs politics.
